into the vortex - beyond manifestation of body and mind

As if it is half immersed and half coming out of water (or some other liquid), this artwork sucks me in with my curiosity. I wonder if this is a shape I should recognize or is it completely abstract object. Somehow it looks familiar but the longer I observe it, the less I know. Nevertheless I enjoy the soft smooth surfaces and the spray, Imagining that it shows a birth of forms, before they arrive to this world.

The first time I was asked to focus on only one of Silvestre's works, I chose this one. I found it emblematic of a search of salvation, as the yellow element reminds me of a safety boat in a sea of ice, but it's also gummy and floaty as something you'd use for fun at the beach. Playful yet terrifying at the same time.
