I love the combination of red and blue because it creates purple 💜 active/passive, hot/cold, good/evil and all the binary oppositions are repressive until I find my own way of passionate union with existence as it is.

This piece caught my eye because of its colors. I associate blue with the sadness that can follow motherhood and the responsibility of a child and red with the birth od a new person, full of fire, energy, and hopes. The fact that the piece is drawn in the style of the Orthodox icon of St.Mary and Jesus makes the statement more powerful.
