this artwork to me is a visual representation of trauma and how it impacts the psyche. It’s a bit disturbing but also there’s an element of comfort.

Because of the amount of red used in the painting, It has a headed, dangerous maybe even hostile atmosphere. This contrasts with the way the two figures on the ground, lovingly holding eachother, that gives a sense of comfort and security. The third figure further up in the painting is staring down at them, maybe with hate or jealousy? That would explain the colors used in the painting. Overall my interpretation of the painting is, that it could represent a person dealing with feelings of jealousy towards the lovers or maybe a person who caught there partner cheating on them with someone else. However considering that red is also the color of love, this scene could also be showing a passionate moment between two people (that however wouldn’t explain the tired person)

really hits hard! this is how I perceive feeling alone and comforting myself, yet being critical about what I do and feel

I see the emotional pain that comes from loss. And the beauty that comes from supporting one another.

This hug represent the good. The ambient is very immersive and and the same time scary. It’s very evocative this painting

What it feels like to have anxiety or depression, a hovering haunting feeling that lingers and always there and only one person out of the two can see it. Sometimes a consoling hug is all the protection we need.

Love is threatened by our dark side and we should always nurture it and protect it in order to keep it alive.
