I really enjoy the historical style, a sort of call to romantic painting. Within that it has a very strange and creepy narrative playing out, which I like. The eyes of this bird / rat are very weird and disturbing. There is also something kind of awkward about the painting, which works well with the traditional aesthetic and pastel colors.
