With this artwork I tried to visually represent memory loss, and how fragmented and confused memories become with the passing of time. It is inspired by my grandmother’s dementia, which is why I decided to use an old picture of her and my grandfather

The vibrancy of the memories we keep has nothing to do with their exactitude. It is the pieces of them we gather and that make them resonate across time and distance.

It’s often hard to remember how things happened. It’s less hard to remember how something made you feel. And so let me laugh and love and cry and save you inside me as you were for me and I promise you’ve never been more alive than in my emotions.

When you are faced with something, you are the one who choses the lenses through which you want to see that thing. If you don’t like what you see, you are not using the right angle

Time goes by, and while the image of memories slowly fade away, the role that past play in our present becomes clearer and clearer - it’s what made us what we are, what we know and how we feel right now. We should stay in the present, finding treasure in our memories and making beautiful memories for the future version of ourselves.

Fragmented memories of my childhood. I can’t remember, maybe it’s not this childhood. Maybe that happened before. Maybe it’s about my past life regression.
