it reminded me of a story from my childhood i was born in a small mountain village in the south of Armenia, close to the Iranian border. every summer, until i turned 8, we went there to visit my grandmother. behind our house was a large field, and beyond it, mountains. once, as we were brunching, sitting in this field, i got a sharp, stabbing toothache. my grandma went somewhere and came back after 15 minutes with freshly picked and washed roots of some field plant, which were supposed to help me with the pain if i chewed them. not gonna lie, chewing them was even more painful than enduring the pain. i pretended it helped, but still thanked my grandmother for her care. i believe care is a pure form of love. don’t forget to call your grandparents from time to time <3
