She seem to articulate the promise of freedom. White doves are so loaded for us, the western minds. It’s hard for me to see anything else than ‘freedom’ or the ‘holy spirit’. The fact that it’s a woman, makes me think on the Greek/Roman personifications of virtues and concepts. I guess for me it is ‘Freedom’ herself sitting on the sofa.
