Each letter ever written finely woven in a tapestry. All connected as the same fairytale.

Intriguing!

As an inhabitant of Berlin, this piece of work makes me giggle for a moment. I imagine this is what the wet dream of German bureaucracy would look like - and endless stream of letters. The artist has aptly named this piece of work „warm regards“. A cold, rigid and lifeless pile of printed papers bask beneath this warmth.

Living in German bureaucracy. Dealing with a corporate.

Made me think of the journaling practice, when person writes down all the thought that he or she has at the moment to clear out the head. Free-writing I think it’s called. The written words have little if any value in this case. Quite opposite - they are written down to be forgotten. In theory through this process one creates a “space” for creative or productive thinking. A while ago I’ve been to the performance exhibition by students from Marina Abramović Studio in Essen. We stood for a while watching a young artist reading pages from his dairy and tearing those pages away. He did it in Italian and machine translation was not very good, but he didn’t seem to differentiate between thoughts. A Years long thought flow was read out loud and disposed of. This work gives the same feeling - the thought or infos are typed down but are left useless on the floor. Do these words have no value? Or their value is the process of writing them down to forget?

Promises. Endless and most of them never gets played out.

I kept my memories in place even though I didn’t want to. It’s still a mess but I am recollecting them.

I use to write a lot. But it was a way for me to feel something and to let out something

Papers and papers. Fruit of everything’s . Anyone has some to do with it. But who wrote what

Never ending truths from your heart… to nowhere, to no ear, to no heart… just never ending

It speaks to me of unrequited desire for communication, of feeling heard, hoping for someone to listen

All the dreams that didn't come true should be written down so that we don't forget that our dreams also evolve when we look back and read them.

This triggers me into thinking about how much time we spend generating words to update people or performing admin versus how much we complete of the things we update people on in our working lives.

losing my memory is one of my biggest fear. that’s how I imagine I should keep note of everything important that happens to not forget who I am

I will take note of all the things I haven't told you, and that I may never be able to tell you. I will etch my thoughts on every wall of my body, and instead of expressing them to you, I will guard them jealously. I will process, analyze, and use them as a springboard towards a version of my spirit that is more connected and authentic.
