Painting - oil on canvas
Candles held in vigil begin burning each other. It references the continued mass shootings in the US; after every tragedy, there is a candlelit vigil; after too many tragedies, the endless vigils become a small version of hell.

Re-connecting with myself

After watching Tarkovsky's "Nostalgia" I often view candle light as a symbol of carrying that soul spark throughout the life. And seeing so many flames dance together and fuel each other makes me think of many destinys being interconnected, and how valuable it may be. Let's keep each other warm in those dark times 🙏

Dynamic image that makes me feel good! The power of light and of a group. I’d only feel alive among these burning candles.
