Should I cast out the shadows that within me dwell, I'd bid farewell to angels, in their light I've come to revel. For in the dance of dark and light, in this intertwined tale, Lose one, and the other too, upon this scale shall pale.

We often adore ourselves to an extreme, almost like worshiping ourselves, but at the same time, we can really dislike who we are, finding ourselves incredibly dull. This dislike for our overly adored selves goes hand in hand with a hidden or sometimes obvious wish in all of us to break free from the limits of our own individuality, showing a strong desire to go beyond ourselves.
