I really like the humor and movement in this picture.

I feel that, at first, it pictures a joyful and carefree moment, but the eyes hide a feeling of relief fueled by the yearning to live life in freedom. An escape from the everyday uncertainties and obligations — a much-needed rebellion to feel better and to forget, at least until the night lasts.

It evokes a feeling of nostalgia in me. A yearning for my young and lighthearted self. The self that didn’t know yet.

The look of mischief is so daring and so playful. It invites the viewer to be part of the scene. Reminds me of a scene from Frances Ha when she says: “It's that thing when you're with someone, and you love them and they know it, and they love you and you know it... but it's a party... and you're both talking to other people, and you're laughing and shining... and you look across the room and catch each other's eyes”
