Profoundly sad peace, it is as if the men are feeding of each other despair. There seem to be some religious symbolism both in the way the figures are seated and the shape of the glass cloche. It covers, protects, unites them but also alienates the three from the rest of the world.

I immediately connected it to the situation in Palestine, where the whole world put a glass dome over, leaving people to die, without water, food or shelter. It’s colonial oppression and a genocide on the people of Palestine. Alienated by those in power to lift the dome up and help.
