My first thoughts is that it resembles social media and society today. Someone screaming for attention by having so many bits and pieces added to themselves. Hiding behind multiple masks to impress people that don’t matter

Rarely in my life have I ever been so distraught by something. But at the same time, it's impossible to avert my gaze, like I'm trying to control this creature with my eyes. To hold it under my spell so it doesn't pull me in. So I always know where it is and always know it's not around me.

Elements of the painting are very well thought out. The development of the central character shows a gradual progression of ideas in the painter, while adding subtle structural modifications here and there.
