I behold sound and hear visuals.

Marriage between non-human and human animal. Herd instinct; fascinated, enamoured or possibly anxious about the presented object, which happens to be a funky banana. A touch of weird.

something about that piece is very mesmerising. I might be wrong but I see here the interpretation of a society with the wrong system of values what’s focus is rather artificial then genuinely pure

Makes me think of many things around that get our attention even though we are not meant to be focusing on them and all the energy waisted on them, just because someone put them in the middle and threw enough lights and glitter on them.

Humors me. Neolithic sheep have discovered the banana. Children often explore items via the mouth, this is how we know what’s edible, and what’s not. Soon the sheeple will find out for themselves. One will eat, the rest will follow 🍌

I feel this is a fun piece, it looks like the sheep are in awe of the strange item to them (a banana). This piece has an association for me with the city of Liverpool and its famous ‘Super Lamb Banana’, by Japanese artist Taro Chiezo, this was a public art piece of a sheep shaped body but the back of it was shaped like a banana. (Feel free to google search it) …. Anyway the Super Lamb Banana was a comment on Liverpool’s history of exporting lamb and importanting bananas and other exotic things from around the world. liverpool is one of the UKs most important ports. I actually remember seeing someone who was angry about the city of Liverpool spending lots of public money on the statue, come with a huge truck to try and take the Super Lamb Banana statue to the river and throw it away. This was a crazy day in my memory.

This painting for me is a bold story of standing out from the crowd so far away, that the crowd begins to look at you with awe. A story of being so fiercely independent, and different, and authentic, that the crowd looks at you with an all encompassing sense of unfamiliarity.

Words are hard to find and laughter expresses it all. I have joined the sheep family and will watch the banana forever.
