finally, this painting makes me think of the known universe. at a scale so big that no impact of one individual/alliance/nation/species makes any difference. it seems like everything is in perfect balance and peace. the dark border of the painting could be the limit of everything that’s ever been known or maybe the concrete limit of the universe itself. in any case, understanding the scale of your own little existence can be a relief from the mundane
