Ausgangspunkt meiner Arbeit ist ein Text des Psychiaters François Tosquelles, in welchem er einen schöpferischen Moment beschreibt, der nach einer apokalyptisch wahrgenommenen Krise seiner Patienten entsteht. Mit meinen Keramikskulpturen baue ich eigene kleine Welten zwischen Utopie und Realität, Hoffnung und Skepsis. Anhand der Materialität und Formsprache erforsche ich ein Spannungsverhältnis zwischen Fragilität und Beständigkeit, Intimität und Abwehr. Die organischen Formen im Inneren der Skulptur erzählen von vertrauten Elementen in der Natur, während offen bleibt, um welche es sich konkret handelt. Aller Brutalität und Widrigkeiten zum Trotz bahnen sich diese keramischen "Wucherungen" ihren Weg. Die Besucher*innen sind eingeladen, den Ton vorsichtig zu berühren. The starting point for my work is a text by the psychiatrist François Tosquelles, in which he describes a creative moment that arises after his patients experience an apocalyptic crisis. With my ceramic sculptures, I build little worlds between utopia and reality, hope and scepticism. Using the materiality and formal language, I explore a tension between fragility and consistency, intimacy and defence. The organic forms inside the sculpture tell of familiar elements in nature, while it remains open as to what they actually are. Despite all brutality and adversity, these ceramic proliferations make their way. Visitors are invited to carefully touch the clay.
