Graduation Project, 2024 We are living in a world where cameras are navigating and directing our lives. The phone is becoming the new body. Reality is becoming an exam, where images are shaping our truth. These images are born from: the presence of the filters, the presence of false realities, the false selves, and the illusions. They dictate our worth, not by essence but by appearance. A struggle between the essence and the projected personality begins. Are we embodying our authentic selves or a false persona? An identity crisis begins. (un)scene is an image-based installation. The imagery displays both the (un)scene and the scene: the filtered performances on social media, the commodification of the female body, and the interplay between illusion and reality. Establishing both a contrast and a connection. This exploration encourages viewers to reflect on the impacts of social media, on the use of cameras on both individual perspectives and the overarching collective dynamics of society.
