Æther is an immersive holographic fog installation that explores the ethereal facets of consciousness akin to the afterlife, with a subtle nod to the Nordic narratives of celestial journeys, the last journey of the sould from this world to valhall. Born from the acute and deep grief of October 7th tragedies and its aftermath, it employs fog-based holography to craft a visualization of the soul's passage, offering a space where the abstract becomes tangible amidst an evocative dance of light that faintly echoes the mystical aurora borealis. Visitors wade through a misty landscape, each step a part of their personal odyssey at the interface of life and something beyond. Holographic scenes act as gateways to other planes of existence, suggesting what the mind may encounter at the limits of awareness. In the quietude of Æther, one is invited to ponder the soul's persistence and its transition through life's tumult and tranquil demise. The installation embodies the universal narrative of mourning and the hope for existence beyond the physical, drawing from collective myths and contemporary inquiries into the afterlife. Æther serves as a canvas for introspection, presenting a visual narrative that resonates with near-death experiences. It elicits deep, indistinct emotions—a dreamlike remembrance, stirring a longing for a place of eternal rest. Through Æther, we are beckoned to question the existence of realms unfathomed by our imagination.
