The second, depicting childhood trauma, uses red mittens to convey a sense of restriction and emotional confinement. The final piece, centered on adulthood, presents Marlboro cigarettes, symbolizing coping mechanisms and the weight of adult burdens. The recurring use of red throughout ties these stages together, representing both the intensity and the lasting impact of these experiences.”
