The Bodies We Invent

30 July 2026 · Ivonne Thein · Studio Visit & Symposium · Joseph Schmidt Musikschule

The body stops being something you can simply believe. Photographs once promised a surface; now clay, silicone, and trained models rewrite the same flesh until trust itself becomes a craft. The talk drifts from how an image is made to how easily a voice that already knows your tone can decide what you do next — and what of you remains when the picture can always be changed.

A View from Patience Hill

29 July 2026 · Shannon T. Lewis · Solo Show at Wentrup Gallery

Collage becomes a way of surviving distance: pieces of home pressed into a new surface until the past starts leaking into the present. Childhood rooms, craft, and the roads that carried people here still decide the shape of a face. You don’t always notice which memory is doing the looking.

25 July 2026 · Franz Stein & Rosalie Werthefrongel · Courtesy of König Galerie

18 July 2026 · Mae at UdK · Alungoo Xatan

What stays is quieter than identity — the histories that still decide how you see yourself, even when you pretend they don’t.
